Treatments
Treatments would include:
- Thin out smaller pines to allow for more older trees, greater diversity in ages and additional diversity of species such as aspen and Gambel oak
- Clear trees that are encroaching on meadows to restore historic growth patterns and cut select trees necessary for habitat restoration
- Conduct prescribed burns that would allow for low intensity natural fires
- Fence off sensitive riparian features such as seep, springs and channels
- Restore dry ephemeral channels to reduce erosion
